Bullmastiffs - Breeders - Incompatible Traits

The owners of Bullmastiffs state the breed is a complex and wonderful creature that combines many seemingly incompatible qualities. The Bullmastiff is surely a perfect guard dog that can attack the intruder displaying flash-like reaction. Meanwhile, the breed makes a good pet. It is devoted and amiable in the family and loves children much. Bullmastiffs enjoy a quiet evening with the family and seem to be extremely lazy. They can be quick during play. Yet, sometimes they think a command over for an amazingly long time.

What leaves no shadow of doubt is the fact that the Bullmastiff is a very determined dog. The breed is recommended for persistent owners who can rule the dog and show who the boss is. Since the dog always realizes its strength, it will hardly respect a timid owner. A great size and agility of the breed are other incompatible features. It is a mistake to think that the huge Bullmastiff is sometimes slow and cannot act swiftly. Its agility is most conspicuous in the case of danger. Extreme situations make the Bullmastiff react right off the bat.

However, the Bullmastiff is not aggressive. It does not attack first. There always is a good reason for attack. As a matter of fact, a long spectacular fight is not what Bullmastiffs are keen on doing.
